First Grade - complete a few pages of “All About Bats” together and finish in learning centers or with partners.
Second and Third Grade - “All About Bats” is a great review of basic bat information to begin study of bats. It can be completed independently. Flexible enough to use along with other research sources to create a more indepth project.
Children complete Bat Fact “Sloppy Copy” sheet - write 3 interesting facts using complete sentences about bats from this unit study.
Bat outline with lines for writing final copy from “Sloppy Copy” sheet. One fact on each bat. Three bats for poster/easel paper.
Using sunset photos as models, children use easel paper/poster board and water colors to create an evening sky for bats to fly in.
