Learning Objective

Students will read an informational mini-book about bats and answer questions about them.

Description

Are your students as fascinated by bats as mine are? This freebie booklet will give them information about this interesting mammal while practicing important reading skills.

Why use Bats Informational Text Mini-Book? Research tells us children are more likely to become engaged in a learning activity if the topic is something that interests them. Children find bats absolutely fascinating!

How it works: Children can read these mini-booklets independently, with partners, in small groups, or with the whole class. These are perfect for reading groups or days when sub plans are necessary. Just print and go!

What’s included: This is a 10 -page fact mini-book about bats. It has interesting information, factual as well as higher order questions to answer, and pictures to color.

Don’t let the order of the pages fool you. If you run these off back to back, then cut in half vertically, you’ll have a ten-page booklet while only using 3 pieces of paper!

This Bats Informational Text Mini-Book is a freebie selection from a larger collection of Science and Social Studies Activities for October.
