Description

This is a PhET simulation-based lab that explores the fundamental principles of simple DC circuits. It utilizes Circuit Construction Kit: DC.

The opening section involves the anatomy of a simple incandescent light bulb. This exercise is instructive for understanding how bulbs work, and why the contact points are shown where they are on bulbs in the PhET sim.

This resource is a print-friendly Google Docs file. It can be assigned via an LMS (such as Google Classroom), It can also be printed and photocopied.

I am a classroom teacher who developed this activity during pandemic instruction (remote teaching/distance learning: RT;DL), but it can be used in other contexts where students have access to the Internet.
