As a teacher, it is sometimes challenging to dish out consequences that you will remember. Especially when the situation happens in specials.
I use love and logic, so I don't have a "color chart" or anything like that.
I tell the kids that they are "draining my battery." They know if I say these words that they either need to get it together or I am going to do something about it. At the beginning of the year we talk about how when you use an electronic too much you have to plug it in because you have drained the battery.
Disruptive Behaviors drain a teachers "battery" So I explain that they have to charge my battery on "their" time.
Their time is recess. Kids understand this and accept it. So I had a more challenging class last year, and made sheets of these for specials teachers, as it is more difficult for them to dish out consequences.
They filled it out, and when I picked my students up the teacher would give them to me and just say, "Little Johnny drained my battery."
I would take the Ticket and put it in a treasure box by my door that I would check before AM recess.
