A fun game to get your students speaking English. I teach a class in which students are VERY reluctant to speak English, but this gets them talking. Also, we used the game to review present form of ‘to be’ in 3rd person singular vs. 3rd person plural.
The game works much like Battle Ships, only students have to find each other’s bees, which are hiding somewhere around a box (over, under, behind etc.). The students mark the location of their bees with pencil or cut out the included pieces. They put a tall book or binder between them, so they can't see their opponent's board.
I've also made a help sheet for those of my students who need that kind of support.
Tip: Print side 1 to 2 two-sided (flip page on short edge) to save paper. That way students get to play to games on one piece of paper.
My game is inspired by a free game that was originally found on www.anglomaniacy.pl/
