Product Description
This three-page document is designed to help students to practice the definitions and conjugations of present tense verbs that end in -er and -ir. Most students really love it and I thoroughly enjoy hearing them as I walk around the room.
Student 1: "I run."
Student 2: "Yo corro."
It is like a quiz, but hidden as a game. I hand out the first page (usually double-sided with page 2) for students to conjugate. There are many done for them, which helps them to feel like it's not so much. When they finish conjugating, I ask them to check themselves (or switch with a partner to check for the other) with page 3 - the answer key. I recollect the answer key and use it in all classes. As students finish checking themselves, they may begin to play. The first finishers always want to play again, which I usually allow if time permits. It is excellent practice! For my classes, the whole thing easily lasts 35 minutes. The verbs selected are those from leccion 3 of the Descubre 1 textbook. This could easily be changed. Enjoy!
