Students will watch an 8 minute video on the Battles of Lexington and Concord. The video will be paused half way to read two witness accounts of the Battle of Lexington: one by a British official and one by a group of colonists.
While watching the video students will draw the paths of the British on maps, indicate the path of Paul Revere, mark the spot that the colonists were waiting for the British to arrive, and record the number of casualities on both sides. This is an interactive worksheet that allows students to visualize the placement and strategies of both sides. They have the benefit of seeing the re-enactment on the video as well as a place to mark the events on maps, answer compelling questions and record important data. Very engaging!
