Looking for a great way to include key battles in your study of World War II? Use this stations activity to introduce events such as D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, and Iwo Jima to your American History students.
This activity consists of 7 stations on the following topics: key figures (such as Eisenhower), Kamikaze, Battle of the Bulge, D-Day, Bataan Death March, Battle for Iwo Jima, and island hopping in the Pacific.
Students will use images and maps along with primary and secondary sources in order to analyze these events and people. Student will complete an answer sheet for each station that includes a variety of questions and activities.
Make an answer sheet packet for each student. Assign groups and have each group work on one station for about 12-15 minutes. Then have students rotate materials until each group has reviewed all 7 topic. Alternatively, have a class set of materials and let students work independently and at their own pace until all 7 topics have been completed.
*These materials are geared towards American History but could be adapted for World History as well.
