This is a game board for playing Battleship, or Acorazado, in Spanish class to practice the verb ser in the present tense and personality and physical descriptions. The top board is for hiding one's own ships and the bottom board is for keeping track of the partner's ships.
Students write one X per box to hide the ships, vertically or horizontally, but not diagonally. Five X's in a row for the battleship, four for the aircraft carrier, etc. To find each other's ships, they say the subject on the left, conjugate the verb ser correctly, and then say an adjective from the top (instead of B7 or E13 in traditional Battleship). For example, Yo soy alto or Ella es inteligente. If it's a hit, they say impacto. If it's a miss, they say fallo. When it's sunk they say hundido.
There are two games with different adjectives. You could print them separately or as one two-sided sheet.
My middle school students love this game! Check out my other Acorazado games. Thanks.
