This is a game board for playing Battleship, or Acorazado, in Spanish class to practice weather vocabulary. Print two pages for each student, or copy it on the front and back of one sheet, one board for hiding one's own ships and one board for keeping track of the partner's ships.
Students write one X per box to hide the ships, vertically or horizontally, but not diagonally. To find each other's ships, they say one weather phrase from the left and one from the top (instead of B7 or E13 in traditional Battleship). For eample, Hace buen tiempo (the thumb's up picture) y Hay trueno (the weatherman with his fingers over his ears) would be guessing the space fourth from the left in the bottom row. If it's a hit, they say impacto. If it's a miss, they say fallo.
My middle school students love this game! Check out my other Acorazado games. Thanks.
