This game follows the famous Battleship game. It makes your students practice vocabulary and short verbal exchanges.
• One set of two cards, revising vocabulary related to Classroom Objects.
• Ten little rectangular cards specifying each word of the vocabulary to be used. (optional for those students that can read)
If students do not know how to play Battleship, it would be convenient to show the procedure on the board before giving out the cards.
Students work in pairs. Each student should hold a card and not show his card to his mate. (They can also position every little card next to the pictures, this is very necessary for ESL classrooms or native students )
The aim is to guess where the other student has the five items shown on the card by asking or saying:
Have you a …… on (2/A)?
Is there a …………… on (4/C)
There is a ….. on (5/D).
I can see a ….. on (1/B).
If the vocabulary item mentioned is in (2/A), the player scores (he/she takes the little card out to know which object comes next. The first one to guess where all the five items are is the winner
You can provide feedback if you wish! I'm planning to make more sets from Pre-K to 3rd Grade!
