This is a game board for playing Battleship, or Acorazado, in Spanish class to practice the verb tener in the present tense and hair and eye color. The top board is for hiding one's own ships and the bottom board is for keeping track of the partner's ships.
Students write one X per box to hide the ships, vertically or horizontally, but not diagonally. Five X's in a row for the battleship, four for the aircraft carrier, etc. To find each other's ships, they say the subject on the left, conjugate the verb tener correctly, and then say a hair or eye color from the top (instead of B7 or E13 in traditional Battleship). For example, Yo tengo pelo castaño, or Ella tiene pelo rubio. If it's a hit, they say impacto. If it's a miss, they say fallo.
My middle school students love this game! Check out my other Acorazado games. Thanks.
