Description

This product is great to use as a math station or for a small group or one on one intervention.

Students roll a die (not included) and put that many bat counters on a cave. They roll again and put that many bats on the second cave. They then add them together and record the equation on their paper.

For counters you could use mini erasers, bat rings, or printed clip art bats (included).

Differentiation: You can have students practice writing equations with 2 addends or 3 addends. You can also copy 2 addend equations on 1 side of the paper and 3 addend equations on the other. You could also write in equations before making copies and the students can use the bat counters to model the equations and find their answers. You can use regular 6 sided die if students are making their own equations or use 8 or 10 sided die for more of a challenge.
