Let’s get batty!
The bats need your help to find associated items. The vocabulary targeted in this book is fall and Halloween themed. This interactive mini-book and activities will focus on vocabulary, identifying and explaining associations, answering WH questions and retelling stories.

Sequencing mat: pg. 11 – have students cut and paste items into the correct spot
These are additional activities that focus on fall and Halloween. They may be used with or without the story:
Language discussion question cards: pg. 12-13
Batty Directions: pg. 14-19 – print, cut out, and laminate bats, then lay them on the floor
Open-ended worksheet: pg. 20 – SLP can name items and have students name an associated item before coloring a bat or you can write other targets on the bats
Open-ended describing worksheet: pg. 21 - use with any item
Homework pages: pg. 22-23 - relates to the items shown in the story, but can be used without the story as well
