You’ve seen them, I’m sure. ..those beautiful coloring books meant for adults only. The ones
with the intricate designs which instill a sense of peace and calm while coloring them.
Here we have the same thing for kids, but the designs aren’t as complicated. Great for the classroom or home. Teachers…these are great activities which could be used as rewards or incentives. Testing around the corner? Use these pages before or after for focus and relaxation. Need the class to “settle down” after a certain events such as assemblies, fire drills, recess? Coloring helps them to “settle” back into the classroom routine. Parents, grandparents, babysitters…these are nice to do WITH children, if you wish. Peace, comfort, bonding, and many times, conversation are the beneficial outcomes of coloring these pictures.
The “color art” has varying degrees of difficulty. Each page is labeled as such: 1=easy; 2=moderate; 3=challenging. There are 18 different designs. (2 spring, 8 St. Patrick's, 8 Easter)
I’m sure as a creative teacher, parent, grandparent, etc. you have lots of ideas how these can be put to good use!
Have fun…color with joy and comfort.
