Description

Link to finished worm: See the project here

In this unit, students complete a reading response packet where they record short summaries, setting details, and character traits as they read each day. This reading project is great for spring hallway decorations and bulletin boards! By adding pipe cleaner, you can turn your worm into a caterpillar!

When the book is finished, students use their packet to create a cute book worm. Skills include: setting, characters, problem, main events, solution, and favorite parts (judgements).

Includes:

-Word format book worm packet with directions and an example entry as well as blank pages for the students to complete while reading their book. The number of days and dates can be customized after downloading by copying and pasting to add more days.

-PDF worm template for students to complete, cut, and glue together.

*The worm is a PDF so you can't change it, but the reading packet for students to take notes is a Word document so you can customize to meet your needs.*
