**Winner of Gold in Poetry for Mom's Choice Awards and Story Monster Approved!**

This book started as a poem that I wrote for my middle school students in my Reading classes. I think I had been writing it in my head for some time. However, one day I decided to finally sit down and write what I had been thinking for many years. My students loved hearing the sentiment. They knew that I always tried my best to start and end each class with the words “Thank you for always trying to be the best version of you.” I decided to turn my poem into a book so that others may use it to inspire children to work at being the best that they can be. Thanks for taking the time to read my story. May this book bring smiles to the students that are lucky enough to call you their teacher.

(From Author's Note)
For me photography and writing go hand in hand. Over the course of a year, I took pictures that I felt captured the beauty of nature displaying its best version of itself. From captivating sunrises in Northeast Pennsylvania to the towering Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, the unique beauty of our Earth is found within these pages. May they remind us that we are all different and special just like the colors of the morning sky or the arrangement of trees and flowers on a mountainside. May we always celebrate our differences and encourage others to be their best selves. 
