Welcome to the new Treadwell Township.
I am your QUEEN and I have instituted the SCHOOL TAX ACT. Pass out tickets and let the fun begin as you "tax" them.
I have uploaded the actual Powerpoint that I use in the preview...the Word document explains all that I do with the class. King George and taxation ...Colonists vs British
This lesson covers the series of tax acts that were put in place by the British government and disputed by the original 13 colonies of America prior to the American Revolution. Students will actively learn the concept of government-provided services in exchange for taxes. Students will be able to explain the specific taxes and the right of the English government to levy them in the context of the oft-used slogan: “No taxation without representation.”
This is a great “hands-on” activity to use with your students.
I also have a word document to send with this. I even have the tickets made for you...you can change anything on them for your own personal touch.
If you have any suggestions, comments, questions, or requests, please send me a message. I am happy to help you help your students!!
Thank you for your purchase!!
