My students are loving the bump games-so I am making lots of them to use as review before state testing. Here are two beach themed bump games for students to review gallons, quarts, pints, and cups.
The games work well as centers and as something fun for your early finishers. These games are great practice for any student working on conversions and are specifically aligned with Virginia math SOL 4.8b.
An answer key is included for each game. Also included is an optional worksheet where students can fill in blank tables to find equivalent measurements. This worksheet includes a conversion table for students who have not yet memorized equivalent measurements.
***Directions: Player A rolls two dice and finds the sum. Find the measurement that is next to the sum. Use a marker to cover the equivalent measurement on the Game Board. Player B takes a turn.
If the equivalent measurement already has a marker on it, the player can BUMP the marker off of the board and replace it with his/her own marker. Once a player has put two markers on a space, the space is LOCKED and markers can no longer be BUMPED. The player who places all ten markers on the Game Board first is the winner!
