Description

This versatile beach themed summer phonics resource offers your little learners a variety of fun and exciting ways to practice CVC words the entire season. This packet is a great value because it offers so many options in one easy to use resource. These activities work well with summer, vacation, travel, ocean, or seashell units and themes.

There are a total of 240 cards in this packet. You get 120 cards with CVC words and 120 cards with CVC pictures. There 8 cards per page. This resource can be used to supplement any phonics program. You may use as many or as few cards in any order you choose. You may select only the cards to address one specific short vowel sound or you may select cards to address any 2 or more short vowel sounds. As a bonus, some of the picture cards may also be used for rhyming tasks.

This resource addresses 120 CVC words. There is an answer key included.

These developmentally appropriate activities are great for differentiation. Just pull the cards that best address any learner’s particular needs. There is no stigma for anyone about “being behind.”

This versatile resource can be used in a variety of ways to address CVC words. These cards are great for literacy centers, fast finisher activities, morning tubs, sensory bins, pocket chart tasks, letter bead tasks, partner games, Spot and Swat practice, magnetic cookie sheet activities, and take home packets. They can be used as individual, group, or partner activities.

Print, laminate, and cut apart the cards. You may choose to cut out the sandpail images and use them as shapes instead of cards. You may prefer to print the pieces on cardstock for durability. Store the pieces in your choice of zip top storage bags, envelopes, zippered supply pouches, or seasonal containers. You can put adhesive magnetic circles on the back of the pieces and use a dollar store cookie sheet to make a magnetic learning activity. The cards may also be used in a sensory bin.

Graphics for this packet are from various clip artists. Please see the credits page included in the resource for a complete listing of contributing artists.
