Beach Theme Learning Collection Ideas and Suggestions

Whether you're planning a field trip to the seashore, having a themed beach day, or just a little fun with basic skills, your students will love these beach-themed printables, centers, and activities!

This seashore bundle is a great end-of-the-year activity to review literacy as well as math skills. It also will work great for summer school, or even starting off the school year.

I would also recommend it for those dreary winter days when one needs to escape the winter doldrums and pretend it is summer.

This Learning Collection contains 11 different activities:

    • Beach Themed Mapping (Geography)
    • Graphing (Math)
    • Addition and Subtraction Matching (Math)
    • Beach Math Story Problems (Math)
    • Beach Themed Writing Paper for Writer's Workshop (Writing)
    • Beach Vowel Sort and Race - 2 games for long vowel practice (Phonics)
    • Beach Inference Stories (Reading Comprehension)
    • "Catch a Wave" Noun and Verb Sort (Language)
    • Five Senses Brainstorm About the Beach (Science)
    • Does it Float? (Science)
    • Make Sand Landforms (Social Studies)

The Bundle also contains these of these activities in digital form:

    • Beach Day Math Story Problems
    • Drawing Beach Conclusions
    • Beach Theme Noun or Verb?
    • Beach Day Mapping Skills
    • Beach Day Does it Float?

Plus, a whole collection of Beach Themed Printables:

This was designed for second graders at the end of the year. Most activities would be appropriate for high first-graders and would be a great beginning of the year review for third graders.
