Description

Using beanie babies to help students learn & internalize comprehension strategies is powerful way to deliver instruction. My students often refer to "Visualizing like Rocky Raccoon" or "Inferring like Iggy the Inferring Iguana" when talking about their reading.
Included are 7 vivid posters depicting a clip art of the beanie baby character & the corresponding skill. These are striking posters which stand out in the classroom.
Included are:
Rocky the Raccoon - Visualize as you read!
Spinner the Spider - Make connections as you read
Questioning Owl - Ask questions
Jabber the Reteller - Synthesize and retell
Digger the Dog - Determine the important ideas
Iggy the Inferring Iguana - Infer
Fix Up Bear - Monitor & fix up

My students are find the strategy posters engaging & have really internalized the strategies. I hope you enjoy them in your classroom as well!
