This activity is perfect for literacy stations and for reinforcing beginning sound skills!

How to use this activity:

Print the bears on different colored paper. Print the pictures (black and white or color on their own paper). Once you have copied the bears, cut out and glue the pictures on each bear. (laminate for better durability).

To play: The students pull an bear, color the bear (on the record sheet) the matching color and write the beginning sound letter!

**Challenge: have each child try and sound out the entire word and then highlight the beginning sound!

- Record sheet with elephants
- Black and white set of pictures
- Color set of pictures
- Black and white elephants (for copying onto color paper or coloring!)
- Example pictures!
