I made this PowerPoint to teach prepositions (position words) to my ESL students. It also teachers sight words to emergent and beginning readers. Each slide has a simple sentence and a picture of counting bears and a bowl that demonstrate the meaning of the preposition that is in the sentence. In the notes section under each slide I have also translated each slide into Spanish and French. The first line is the Spanish translation; the second line is the French.
You can use it as a powerpoint presentation to do as a shared read; put the file in a cloud and read on an iPad like an ebook; print out the slides to read as a traditional book; or print the slides out as a handout, cut an index card in half to use as a cover, and staple them together for students to have a mini book that they can take home or read to a partner. My newcomers (students who are brand new to English) really enjoy having something that they can read without help in English during Daily 5 when they have to work with a partner.
