Working with students who need to build vocabulary for colors? Students have fun following Bear through the forest seeing all the colors. On each color spread, help children find and name the colors.
☀ Answer the Wh questions in the 10 page interactive book. Includes Who, What, Where questions.
☀ Have students assemble the interactive books by putting the pages in the correct order as Bear saw the colors, to build sequencing skills.
☀ Cut out pictures and glue them into the 10 page interactive “I See….” book pages. Some pictures are provided for you. If possible, have children look through magazines to find the colors.
☀ The text rhymes in the story; work on phonological awareness skills for emergent reading, too.

☀ There are also syllable counting and initial sound matching activities.
☀ There are 3 paper plate creativity activities.
☀ There are color puzzles to make and assemble.
☀ There is a naming colors game to play; with game cards, a board, and a spinner.
☀ There is also an opportunity for students to paint something with their favorite color. Is it real or fantasy? (Are there really blue horses?)
