You will need to purchase the book separately.

What's included:

Character Cards: p. 3-4 Print, cut, and laminate. Use while telling the story.

Links to the Story: p.5 Have your students cut out the strips and place them into sequential order while retelling the story. Then, glue them together to form a story chain.

Sequencing: p. 6-7 Have your students cut out the pictures on page 7 and glue them in sequential order onto page 6. Print, cut, laminate and add Velcro for repeated use.

Story Elements Flip Book: p. 8-10 Help your students assemble the book together. Cut out the characters on page 11 and glue onto the character page. Talk about the different elements of the story and fill in the details. This is perfect to send home with your students, so they can talk about the story with their families.

Comprehension Questions: p. 11-13 Print, cut, and laminate.

Context Clues Vocabulary Puzzles: p. 18-22 Print, Cut, and laminate. Place the puzzle pieces mixed up on the table and have your students match the pieces.

Regular/Irregular Verb Spins: p. 18-19 Use a pencil and a paper clip to make the flower a spinner. After flicking the paper clip, record the verb onto the chart on the left and provide the other tenses of the verb.

Rhyming Match-up: p. 20-24 (30 cards) These cards can be used to play a matching game or Go Fish.

Fruit & Vegetable Sort: p. 25-26 Print, cut, and laminate for repeated use. Cut out the food items at the bottom of each page. Have your students sort the food onto the correct tables.

Synonym/Antonym Worksheets: p. 27-30 Give each student a worksheet. They will need to cut out the words at the bottom of the page and glue them next to the word that means the same/opposite.

Following Directions: p.31 Give each student a worksheet. There are directions on the page or you can come up with your own. Have students follow the directions by coloring or drawing on the page.

Bear Wants More Fruits/Vegetables Interactive Books: p. 32-43 Directions for how to assemble on page 44.

Feed the Bear Interactive Activity: p. 45 Print, cut, and laminate. Cut out the bear’s mouth and attach to paper sack or tissue box. Have your students feed the bear articulation words/cards as they practice their good speech sounds.

Build a Bear Craft: Assemble the bear using brads.

Open-ended Game board: p.47 Can be used with many of the activities throughout this packet.
