Beat the Cheat is a review card game that is played with 3-5 players. Each player takes turns being "the cheat." The cheat is the player who reads the card aloud and already has the answer in front of them. Students get points for getting the answer correct, and the cheat gets points if no one gets the answer correct. The person with the most points at the end of the game wins!
This particular version was designed for a U.S.History unit on the colonization of the New World up to the American Revolution. It helps students review key terms and people from the creation of Jamestown to the First Great Awakening.
The only thing required of the teacher after purchasing this game is to print the game instructions, score sheets, vocabulary sheet, and cards. Teachers are able to add any additional questions and answers to the blank game cards or easily remove cards that don't match their particular curriculum.
