Are you looking for a fun, easy-to-use review game for your classes? Look no further!
Beat the Cheat is a group card game designed to help students review material. Teachers need only generate the questions and answers for the card game and students need only to play and have fun!
This game is best for vocabulary and key term review. It was originally designed for review social studies, but could be used across a variety of subjects.
For example, this game would be fantastic for reviewing:
- Vocabulary in English classes
- Parts of speech in English classes
- Characters, themes, authors of books in English classes
- Grammar in language classes
- Vocabulary in language classes
- Key terms in science classes
How to play: The game is played with 3-5 players. Each player takes turns being "the cheat." The cheat is the player who reads the card aloud and already has the answer in front of them. Students get points for getting the answer correct, and the cheat gets points if no one gets the answer correct. The person with the most points at the end of the game wins!
Recommended for children age 8 and up. Must be able to read and add points.
