This is a Reader's Theater was written for 4 parts. It is designed for students who are in 5th grade or older but could be adjusted for 4th grade. This Reader's Theater was written to encourage students to save money. It ties in to Financial Literacy but it is also a twisted tale and meant to be funny. I use reader's theaters to encourage my students to practice fluency. It is a fun way to do something that they need. My scripts are in black and white with the occasional color picture on front so they are easier and cheaper to photo copy. The problem with many other reader's theaters is that students spend a lot of time waiting for their part. When you have a small group they get more practice in and less off task behaviors take place. My name is Melanie Whitesides but my store name is Wonbyone. If you enjoy this script, look for other twisted fairy tales at my site. You can even save money by buying them in packs! I hope that your students enjoy this script as much as mine did. Let me know how things go!
