This product was created during the 2016-2017 school year and my students absolutely loved it as we read one of my favorite stories by Kate DiCamillo. The pages that a included here will be copied and strategically placed on two folded folders to created a flip book. Below are the components that are included in this project.
Title Page: Draw what you visualize your favorite scene from the book looks like.
Flow Map: Students use the space to create a Thinking Map (TM) flow map to sequence the main events in the story.
Personal Word Wall: Students write words that they found interesting in the text. Look up meaning.
Character Analysis: Students describe Opal and a character of their choosing and how they develop throughout the story.
Chapter Titles: Students write what they think the title of each chapter should be titled (main idea).
Book Summary: Students write a summary after reading the book.
Book Recommendation: Who do you think should read this book?
