This is a "no-frills" teacher literature circle guide. One common obstacle I had when implementing literature circles was remembering the correct sequence of events in all the different books my class was reading. Even though I had read most books a dozen times or more, I still couldn't remember which events took place in each chapter so as not to reveal too much too soon. I started developing this type of teacher guide to accompany my literature circles. Each chapter consists of a vocabulary list, examples of author's craft, a short summary synopsis, and discussion questions. This is a great resource to "refresh" your memory so that the discussions surrounding the book will be rich and purposeful.
