Product Description
This comes with 2 PowerPoints and a 3 page graphic organizer. You can treat this lesson 2 ways:
-You can use the PowerPoints as a lecture for the students to take notes with the graphic organizer.
-You can use the graphic organizer as a WebQuest activity and have students search the internet for this.

I use both options. We spend a few days in discussion, taking some notes, coloring our pages while we talk. The kids ALWAYS get into note taking when we take notes this way. It's so much fun. On the back page, there are places to take notes about the 3 different colonies. I divide my class into groups of 3-4 and assign each group a different colony (New England, Middle, and Southern). They use the book and internet sources to find characteristics for each group of colonies. Examples: Culture, Jobs, Education Systems, Types of Houses, Crops, Groups of People, etc.
