At this time of our national election, students can imagine what they would do if they were president.
The lesson plan starts with questions about the requirements and responsibilities of the position of President of the United States. This can either be taught as a lesson in class or given as a research assignment.
Students in grades 3-5 can discuss whether they would change the eligibility to be president or whether they would lower the age to vote.
Students will be asked to think about problems in the world (like immigration, race relation, homelessness and educational policies) how they would solve them if they were president and how that would make the world better.
