PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This PowerPoint shows students how to use fragments appropriately to heighten their syntax in academic writing. We spent two full weeks taking their last essay, highlighting weak sentences, and revising them using the fragments from the presentation. As a quiz, I showed them a classic work of art (you can use any really) and had them write two sentences about the subject using all seven fragments appropriately. This activity also helped them with comma usage.
