1-10 color coded ASL BeeBot squares, colorful 1-10 objects and photos, and 1-10 numbers. Students will match the ASL sign with the number symbol. In addition there are many picture objects representing different numbers. Children as young as 3-years-old can easily use the mat. The students really get excited when using the Bee-bot and programming the bee-bot to go to a certain number as they count. The mat can be easily used with students as young as 3 years old or as old as 7 years old.
Check out http://alpha-robotics.com/ to view my students using the Bee-Bot to learn their basic skills. The Bee-Bot is a great STEM activity that encourages problem solving.
If you don't have a Bee-Bot the students can still use the deaf signs and match them with the number squares which will help them learn their American Sign Language signs for their numbers.
