Bees are the most interesting insect! I made these science and writing worksheets for my children for our unit on Bees. I wanted to engage my preschool, grade 1 and grade 3 children all at once.
Page 1: "Write What You Know!" After reading many books about bees I had my grade 3 child fill in the hexagons with her favourite bee facts. This is in preparation to write her "report" on bees later in this unit.
Page 2: "Write What You Know!" This was for my grade 1 child, less hexagons and more space, since writing can be a challenge for younger students
Page 3: "Cut And Paste Your Bee Parts!" These are some colourful cut outs for all ages to cut out and to past on the following pages.
Page 4: "Cut And Paste Your Bee Parts!" This page is meant for younger children to paste their colourful cut outs from page 3
Page 5: "Cut And Paste Your Bee Parts!" This is for older children to paste their cutouts and to label the bee parts on the diagram.
Page 6: Answer key for the labelling of the diagram
Page 7: "My Bee Report." After reading lots of books and filling in the hexagons on page 1 or 2, the child can put together a scientific bee report on this colourful and fun paper. This is great practice for writing skills!
Page 8: "My Bee Report." This is an extra sheet of colourful writing paper for the scientific bee report.
Page 9: "The Bee Life Cycle." A colourful diagram of the bee lifecycle to study.
Page 10: "The Bee Life Cycle." A black and white copy of the lifecycle on page 9 for the children to colour.
