I made this story for one of my students who is on the Autism Spectrum, and who has an extreme fear of bees. He seems to think that all flying objects are going to hurt him, so I figured I would at least try to educate him about bees so that maybe he can understand why bees are good and that they will not hurt people unless we try to hurt them.
This particular student is non-verbal, but can read and answer questions if he is given response choices, so I made this story to cater to those needs. These types of stories tend to work well for my students who are non or low-verbal, but are able to read.
While I used information from other sources, I credited those sources at the end of the story.
This story can be used as a story to teach children about bees and/or to
