Each lesson contains ten vocabulary words that appear often in high school reading, on standardized tests such as the SAT, and beyond. These words may seem to be hard, but really, they're just unfamiliar.
A "Before" page presents ten sentence completion questions. The correct answer to each question is one of the ten vocabulary words.
The learning technique follows. For each word, its meaning, part of speech, and pronunciation are given. A visual bridge is then provided that will help the student remember the definition of the word -- easily and forever. Each word is also used in a sentence that clearly demonstrates its meaning.
Finally, the same sentence completions are given again on the "After" page, with correct answers provided on a separate sheet. Improvement in comprehension should be immediate. Those hard words have suddenly become easy!
