Before and After are concepts students often mix up. These cards instill the 1st and then 2nd concepts by using natural sequences in everyday life. Students read the top portion of the card and then decide if before or after goes into the blue frame to complete the lower portion and form a complete sentence. Be careful, because many of the before sentence cards have a corresponding card that requires after. Students will have to think it through and not just remember the pictures. Forming omplex sentences is part of the Common Core (CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.3.1.I)
If you have a top Secret UV pen light you can write before or after in the blue frame and the students can self check by shining the light on the answer.
This card set is 5 pages with 6 cards each for a total of 30 cards. The cards are 5 1/2 inches tall by 3 inches wide and are best if printed on card stock. For a better description of it's use come visit my blog "In Spontaneous Speech", http://inspontaneousspeech.com//
