A very important technology skill students must learn is keyboarding. This packet includes 19 keyboarding practice drills for student to complete using a computer or tablet with attached keyboard. There is also a slide show presentation introduction, handouts, and quiz. Assignments consist of documents that students open on a computer, complete lessons, and either print out for evaluation or submits via email, upload to a website, LMS, or other means.
All assignment have an example keyboard, clear instructions, and a management system that keeps students on track, easily identifiable errors, and a visible copy/paste detection (.doc only). Because of how this is setup, students will also learn how to save and open documents.
Lessons are printer friendly. No excess amount of graphics or background color.
Teachers may start with the slide show presentation and handouts to show the class or use them as references for students and for lectures prior to the assignments.
This packet is created for teachers either wanting to supplement an existing keyboarding curriculum, classrooms that have inconsistent internet, or instructors wanting a simple, effective keyboarding curriculum that requires no student login.
Update (5/3/17): PDF version included for all lessons. This provides options for access and completion to numerous devices. Each PDF file includes editable text boxes for students to complete lessons.
