This set of maps is designed for beginning to understand the use of maps and interpreting maps.
7 maps are included, and with some explanation by the teacher, can be easily used by nonreaders. Each map includes a set of 10 suggested questions. These maps help students with their basic map skills through the use of directional words.
Concepts targeted with the maps include: above/below/under, top/bottom, next to/beside, closer/closest, left/right, middle/center, longest/tallest/shortest, more, how many, first/after, and which.
