This fun worksheet combines number practice with a review of typical Spanish I vocabulary for beginners. To begin, students must write their math problems by following the Spanish cues below each line; for example, by counting the number of "chicos" or "chicas" in class. They then use these numbers to complete the math problems on the worksheet. Afterwards, you can review results with the whole class by having students read their math sentences aloud in Spanish.
This Word doc can easily be modified to change some of the clues to use vocabulary you commonly use. It also makes a good enrichment activity after a quiz or test, or you can have students work in groups or pairs to make the activity more communicative.
