Beginning Band First Five Notes Fingering Chart is a set of fingering charts for the first five notes includes a simplified finger charts, letter names, and solfege for each band instrument. Note: this set does not introduce standard notation which allows the beginning student to focus on hand position, embochure, sound production, audiation, and ensemble skills first.
Instruments include: flute, oboe, clarinet, alto and tenor sax, trumpet, horn in F, trombone, and percussion.
Two activities are included in this set:
(1) Warm-Up page that includes breathing exercises, embochure development, and long-tones to be used with individuals, lessons, and ensembles.
(2) Simple composition activity that engages students with their new knowledge while inspiring practice and performance!
