Beginning & End of the Year Writing Prompt Crafts I Had A Blast

Students can complete the prompt: “I had a blast ”in _______ grade” and mount their work on a sheet of construction or scrapbook paper.

Add a toilet paper tube “firecracker” for 3D pizzazz.

Wrap the tubes with scrapbook or wrapping paper. Add tinsel or put glitter on the fireworks graphic and glue to the TP firecracker for a sparkling affect.

Completed projects make a terrific bulletin board and nice keepsake.

You could also keep this bulletin board up for back to school.

Use the poster: “We had a blast this year and hope you will too!” for the center of your display, and have all of your students sign the matching blank poster.

Or…

You could opt to have your students simply decorate a TP tube to look like a firecracker, then complete the “You’re going to have a blast this year!” note.

They roll it up and tuck it inside the TP tube.

For a shorter version have them make the bookmark writing prompt instead.

What a nice surprise for your kiddos to find on/in their desk on the first day of school.

Likewise, new kiddos can complete the "I had a blast this summer!" for a back to school writing prompt. Use the posters for the center of that display.
