This activity is for beginning French students who are learning to exchange basic personal information (name, nationality, hometown, feelings, greetings, numbers). By "speed dating" they will practice the basic tasks of simple conversation with a variety of partners in a fast-paced activity. This is a good way to bring excitement back into simple phrases. I used this with my students as review the day before a speaking test.
As a variation for classrooms without a projector, the slides could also be printed and cut into cards that are passed around while students practice the tasks with a single partner.
There are 11 "rounds" of prompts on individual slides. Prompts are in English (ex. Ask their nationality.) Teacher directions are provided. Students using this product were also using the textbook Discovering French Nouveau Bleu 1.
