“Beginning Letter Sounds Pocket Chart”
I love this pocket chart and your students will too. This pocket chart focuses on beginning letter sounds and has engaging pictures for your students to manipulate.
Knowledge of letter-sound correspondences and phonological awareness skills are the basic building blocks of literacy learning. These skills are strong predictors of how well students learn to read.
This activity includes all the letters in the alphabet. Six picture cards per letter are included. The letters come in upper and lower case. These cards also come two different ways, one set with words and one set without words.
This pocket chart activity can be used a number of different ways; in small groups, as a center, for review or to explicitly teach beginning sounds to a whole group or a small group of students.
