Beginning Sound Match S, A, T, P, I, N,
Use pegs or counters to match the first sound you hear with the picture you see.
In the full version some letters contain more than one pictures for each letter. The letter selections then have different levels based on children’s level of visual perception. For example ‘w’ has two pictures with different letter choices. Watch has the selection of w, b and y. All these letters can easily be discriminated between and then Witch has the letters, m, w and n. These letters can be confused and reversed so can be used to help children who are struggling with visual discrimination. There are also multiple pictures for vowel sounds especially E and I as I find these two sounds are often confused. This full kit also contains pictures to match the diagraphs sh, ch, th and ea. When used with pegs you are also strengthening the children s fine motor skills while learning sounds.
