Farm Fun: Practice matching beginning letters for thirty farm words to pictures with these fun clip it letter recognition activities and games that include 40 pages and four games for differentiated instruction. In addition, the set also include 30 word cards / vocabulary cards to familiarize your students with items on the farm--the whole farm including crops. Some of the farm words include farmer, tractor, rooster, chicken, calf, cow, scarecrow, pumpkin, goat, turkey, fence and more. This set will help you meet the common core standard K.RFS.3 and K.RFS.3a where the students will demonstrate basic knowledge of letter-sound correspondence and it can be used as an assessment tool for this standard too.
Just add clothespins and let the games begin for your students. You'll find four colorful sets (same images but different letters) of clip it cards to use for differentiated instruction or for levels of mastery. The basic set includes letters that are not similar as answers for each letter in the alphabet and work as a beginning set to work with both uppercase and lowercase letters. The challenge set includes letters that are frequently confused and look similar as options for more of a challenge like a b, d, and q.
You can use these literacy games with small groups or even as an individual activity. It also works well as a fun assessment tool. I have even included answer sheets so this will work well as a literacy activity where students can check their own work. ESL students can use the cards as a visual way to learn the names of items on a farm and make a connection to the beginning letters too.
The beginning letters for the 30 farm words include a, b, c, d, f, g, h, m, o, r, s, and t.
Check the preview to see all that is included. Thanks!!
