Students will work on writing stories in this fun kit that helps promote beginning, middle, and end in stories. This kit is great for small groups and centers AND it really helps students to collaborate and talk about their writing.

Piece It Together Stories {page 2-9}

-Look at a picture and read the cards and put the story back together by thinking about what would be the beginning, middle, and end. ***4 Piece it Together Stories are included***

Pass the Pencil-Given a Prompt {page 10-27}

-Work with your group to write a story to follow the writing picture prompt and title. Students will decide who is going to write the beginning, middle, and end of the story. Students will write their part of the story and pass the pencil to the next group mate to write their piece. The whole time, students are discussing their story and what should be included in each section. ***15 Prompts are included.***

Write Your Own Tale {pages 36-41}

-Students will think of a topic that they know a lot about and write a story inside of a beginning, middle, end folder (under each flap). After students have written the story, they illustrate the story and glue the drawing and writing onto a large construction paper page for display.
