Product Description
Designed for use with a whole class, guided reading groups, independent reading, special needs classes, English as a second language classes and also the home reading program - this package is a must buy for all teachers who have beginning readers in their classroom!
(For Australian teachers - this resource is aligned with ACARA and AusVels Foundation standards)

The first four pages are designed to be posters for use in the classroom. The second two pages are designed to laminate and use at the table with small guided reading groups of students. The next is designed for students to keep in their reading folder or take home and use as part of their home reading package.

They include:

- A book cover chat
- A book picture chat
- Questions to ask during reading
- Questions to stimulate discussion after reading

Perfect to use at a parent information night at the beginning of the year. Start your home reading program off with a bang and have all parents working along side you, understanding how to help their beginning readers by using language and strategies consistent with what is happening in the classroom.

Our intent statements ensure that students have a clear understanding of what is required of them throughout the reading process.

The first set of intent statements are for students to work with before reading. The second set during reading and the final set as part of their assessment folio.

We place these in their folios when mastered as they are a lovely way to celebrate achievement.
